A franchise consultant is a professional who guides individuals through the process of exploring and selecting a franchise business to own. They help candidates assess their goals, financial position, and lifestyle preferences, then match them with franchise opportunities that align with those criteria and their local business environment.
At Quantum Franchise Group we are not in the business of selling franchises. With a non-negotiable commitment to an integrity first approach, we serve as research experts, educators, coaches, and advocates with the goal of helping our clients identify, qualify for, fund, and be awarded franchises they will love as much in 10 years as they do on grand opening day.

Why I Built This Consultant Model
Franchise consulting is a small but growing niche in the business coaching space.
Emerging and mid-sized franchises rely heavily upon franchise consultants to assist with the expansion of their brands into new markets. These systems are typically too early in their growth to have a full in-house franchise development team. We serve as a critical extension of their marketing and recruiting departments.
The entry point to begin a legitimate, industry-recognized franchise consultancy can range between $10,000 to over $40,000. This is just for the initial training, basic tech stack, and franchise inventory, not factoring in monthly operating expenses.
Even at the highest end, this is a great business investment given the potential ROI. But for those new to the franchise space this can be a significant investment into an unproven alignment between you and the industry.
I created the model below to provide an easier, lower cost and risk entry into a very rewarding career for the right people. This path helps you determine if you're right for franchise consulting, and franchise consulting is right for you, before making a greater investment.
I view our program as an incubator, a laboratory, a proving ground. Choose your metaphor. I like to mix them.
At a much lower financial entry point you'll spend 12 weeks learning about the industry and doing real world work with candidates to equip you to make your first placement soon after graduation.
After completing the 12-week training you'll be invited to join Quantum Franchise Group as a Junior Consultant, with a dedicated success coach, foundational tech stack, and an inventory of approximately 100 franchises, to help you place your first candidate. Success. Proof. Income. The signals you need to level up with confidence.
After your first successful placement, you'll be invited to join the rest of our team as a member of the Franchise Brokers Association where you'll receive advanced training, have access to advanced tools and a much larger inventory of approximately 500 franchises to work with alongside a peer group of about 200 fellow consultants.

Can anyone join the Franchise Consultant Academy?
No. Enrollment in the academy is awarded, not purchased. Before being welcomed into the academy you must complete an interview process and an entrepreneurial assessment.
Though franchise experience is not necessary, we will evaluate your character and your ability to dedicate the time, energy, and focus necessary to be successful. A maximum of 12 people will be admitted into each 12-week cohort.
Am I required to join Quantum Franchise Group after completing the training?
No. Joining Quantum Franchise Group after training is completely optional. You can take the training you received and work as an independent consultant, or join another organization.
If I choose to join Quantum Franchise Group am I required to also join the Franchise Brokers Association?
No. Membership in the Franchise Brokers Association is optional. However, everyone currently on our team is a member and there are tremendous benefits to FBA membership that will further strengthen your franchise consulting business.
Additionally, you will be unable to join us at in-person group events such as regionals and annual conference without FBA membership. These events are highly impactful.
You will be invited and encouraged to join, but you may continue working with us if you choose not to.
What if I am already a trained franchise consultant with another organization?
We will invite experienced Franchise Consultants to join our team on a case by case basis. You will still be required to complete the 12-week academy to ensure you are able to integrate with the Quantum Operating System.
Are there state or federal regulations or licensing I should know about?
There is currently no federal licensing or regulation of the franchise consulting industry. All consultants are required to adhere to Federal Trade Commission guidelines and requirements.
There are currently only two states where a simple registration is required. These are Washington and New York. More states are likely to adopt similar registration requirements in the future, however this is not a significant impediment to our work.
Is this an FTC classified business opportunity?
No, we have intentionally built our program so that it does not fall within the framework of business opportunity classification. We have chosen this approach simply to allow maximum inclusion without the administrative burden of annual state-by-state registration, reporting, and oppressive registration fees.
How much income can I really earn as a Franchise Consultant?
Your annual income can range from $0.00 to several hundred-thousand dollars. We're not dodging the answer here. We're being honest. Your annual income will depend almost entirely upon the time, energy, focus, and expertise you bring to your business. Outside influences such as national economic conditions can also affect your income potential.
That said, it is not difficult to earn a six-figure income as a Franchise Consultant. There are common scenarios in which this can be accomplished with as few as four to five placements per year.
If I join Quantum Franchise Group and/or the Franchise Brokers Association, am I locked into a long-term contract?
No, you are not locked into a long-term contract with either Quantum Franchise Group or Franchise Brokers Association. You may cancel your affiliation at any time, with either organization, with a 30-day written notice.
